Emil and Cecilia Cedeño have been in full-time ministry since 1984, when they were called into the ministry by the Lord Jesus Christ. In 1985, they planted and established Risen Son Ministries Church in the City of San Pedro, California. That work initially started by reaching and helping gang members and drug addicts.
Emil and Cecilia established two rehabilitation homes — two for men (with two phases) and one women’s home — focused on transitioning men and women from their former lives into their new lives in Christ. Over the years, the Cedeños witnessed many healings, deliverances from demonic oppression, and several miracles. Most importantly were the salvations and transformation of men, women, and families that joined their church.
The 1990s marked a significant transition for the Cedeños, who entered the apostolic and prophetic ministry. This transition was confirmed by personal words given to them by the Spirit of God and confirmed by seasoned prophets and apostles. Their teachings became more revelatory and focused on teaching God’s people their purpose and call in the Kingdom of God.
